Kayak Ergometer
The brief for this project from my undergraduate degree was to design a piece of home-exercise equipment that could be somehow be folded to be stored in an average household. As a keen kayaker who struggled to find the time to travel for the activity, I decided to design a kayak-ergometer. These pieces of equipment at the time already existed at the time, however were very expensive.
Each mechanism had to be designed and created using SolidWorks. There was also FEA calculations made on different components likely to suffer from the greatest stresses; as well as consideration made for the UI, including different modes for the user.
